99 Perk is an independent cocktail and wine bar tucked into Bournemouth's Triangle, the pocket of independent bars and restaurants sitting between the town centre and Westbourne. It's a small, personal setup rather than a chain, a quirky, comfortable room built around a genuinely serious cocktail list.
The drinks
The menu runs deep, split across rum, gin and vodka bases, each with its own line-up of signature creations, a Piña Colada finished with a toasted marshmallow, a Chocolate Orange Martini spiked with a shot of espresso, and party-friendly options like the multi-spirit "Breaking Bad". Around two dozen classic cocktails cover more familiar ground, from an Old Fashioned to a Mojito, and every signature drink has an alcohol-free mocktail twin, so non-drinkers aren't limited to a lime and soda. On the food side there's bar bites, mixed nuts and marinated olives, plus a 16-shot "Shot Roulette" for sharing, though this is a drinks-first venue rather than somewhere to eat a full meal.
Masterclasses
Alongside regular service, 99 Perk runs hands-on cocktail masterclasses, £35 per person for groups of eight or more, delivered either at the bar or brought to a home or office, aimed at birthdays, hen and stag parties and work team socials.
Good to know
It's open evenings only, Wednesday to Sunday, and closed on Mondays and Tuesdays; Friday and Saturday run latest, until 1am. There's no online booking system, reservations are handled by text message, so it's worth messaging ahead with your name, date, party size and arrival time if you want a table held, particularly at weekends.
