Arts Bar sits on the first floor above the Refectory at Arts University Bournemouth, on the university's Wallisdown campus. The OpenStreetMap coordinates that placed it on our map correspond almost exactly to AUB's Wallisdown Road address, not, as the name might suggest, the Westbourne shopping district a couple of miles away.
What it serves
Arts Bar keeps things simple: Costa hot and cold drinks, a "grab and go" breakfast and a range of sweet and savoury food for a quick bite between classes or a social catch-up. It also serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, making it as much a bar for the end of the day as a café for the start of it. The seating by the windows suits both a fast coffee stop and a longer sit-down chat.
Who it's for
This is first and foremost a campus café-bar, run as part of AUB's food and drink offering for students, staff and visitors to the university. It isn't a high-street café in the way most of our listings are, so if you're not on campus for other reasons, it's worth checking in with the venue before making a special trip.
