Blend on the Hill is an independent coffee shop and all-day brunch kitchen on Richmond Hill, a short walk uphill from Bournemouth's town square. It occupies part of the old Bournemouth Echo building, and the high ceilings, big windows and plants make it feel more like a bright, airy workspace than a typical high-street café.
Coffee and food
The café is a dedicated stockist for Bad Hand Coffee, with the espresso blend dialled in twice a day and the filter option rotated weekly, so there's usually something new to try alongside the regular menu. The kitchen runs an all-day brunch offering built around British café staples, eggs, sourdough and breakfast plates feature heavily, with pastries and vegetarian options too. It's part of the wider Blend Coffee Collective, which also runs sister cafés in Broadstone and, from autumn 2026, Southbourne.
Good to know
Blend on the Hill is dog-friendly and wheelchair accessible, with Wi-Fi, card payments and takeaway available, which makes it a reasonable stop for remote working as well as a quick coffee. It's open seven days a week, mornings through to mid-afternoon, though it's worth checking current times before a special trip, as cafés do vary their hours seasonally. It's a popular spot, so weekend brunch can get busy.
Sitting just above the Square, it's an easy add-on to a day in the town centre. For more cafés, restaurants and bars nearby, browse our food & drink guide, or pair a coffee here with the rest of our things to do guide to central Bournemouth.
