The food
The menu keeps things classic: British beef steaks, rump, sirloin and fillet, cooked to order, usually served with the sort of sides you'd expect from a traditional grill. The signature dish is a sirloin fried in butter with chopped onions, mushrooms and Worcester sauce, then flamed in brandy at the table-side finish. Vegetarian and gluten-free diners are catered for as well, though as with any small independent it's worth checking the current menu before you go. A food hygiene inspection in June 2025 rated the kitchen's food handling and safety management "very good."

Bournemouth Steak House opens for dinner Tuesday to Sunday, 6pm to 11pm, and is closed on Mondays. Given the size of the room, booking ahead, particularly for weekends, is sensible.
